La Fuerza del Buzo seeks to secure fishing livelihoods and promote sustainable marine ecosystems through innovative community-based programs that address issues of public health, community development and marine conservation.
Our Bottom-Up Approach
We use a bottom-up approach where our programs are defined by the communities with whom we work. This collaborative process results in programs that allow us to deliver community-driven programs that serve small-scale fishing communities for present and future generations. With this approach, we can examine the interconnections between human health and a sustainable marine environment and create and deliver collaborative, community-driven programs that address the challenges to divers’ health, community development, and marine conservation.
